Melvira Kazuma

Vice President (Palau)

Melvira Kazuma, from Palau, is the PAN Coordinator for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Environment, bringing more than a decade of professional experience—seven years in government service and three in the NGO sector. Her deep commitment to environmental stewardship is rooted in her upbringing, which relied on the land and sea for daily life, inspiring her to protect these vital resources for current and future generations.

Melvira earned a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Development, with an emphasis in Human Resource Development, from Pittsburg State University (2022), and an Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration from Palau Community College (2015). She is an active leader in civil society, serving as Vice President and athlete of the Palau Archery Association, and as Youth Representative for the North Branch of the Palau Red Cross Society. Through these roles, she champions youth development, community engagement, and humanitarian initiatives.
